Kugel- und Rollenlagerwerk Leipzig GmbH is evolved from the company group "Deutsche Kugellagerfabrikan GmbH" (DKF) and continues the development, production and the worldwide distribution of roller bearings under the brand name "KRW" with the seal of quality "Made in Germany." With over 100 years of engineering experience, highly skilled employees, an innovative research and development department as well as modern production techniques, KRW Leipzig GmbH reaches extremely valuable bearing products. The KRW product range covers all Standard AND Special bearings (deep groove, angular contact, spherical, cylindrical, tapered). The experience in the construction of medium size and large size bearings grew out of a continuously improved production technology. KRW - Rail & Transportation

Since 1996, KRW has been the Q1 supplier of Germany's railway, Deutsche Bahn (DB). KRW's traction motor bearings are 100% made in Germany. Most traction motors are fitted with deep groove ball bearings, four point bearings or cylindrical roller bearings; in some cases tapered roller bearings are used. The KRW production range commences at an outer diameter of over 100mm. KRW's traction motor bearings work in standard gauge railways and in light rail vehicles. Some reference customers apart from DB are: Alstom, ÖBB, Thyssen Krupp, Hitachi, Reuschling and Gmeinder, S-Bahn Berlin, S-Bahn Hamburg, Traktionssysteme Austria.
